At Appalachian Lush, we seek to explore both historical and modern traditions in food and beverage culture that are uniquely Appalachian. Our focus is on southern Appalachia, mainly southwestern Virginia, eastern Tennessee, and western North Carolina.


ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A Pacific Northwest native, Laura migrated to eastern Tennessee in 2005 and made the mountain south her home. Working in the hospitality industry since 2002, Laura is passionate about history, culture, hospitality, thoughtfully crafted food and spirited libations. Her work history includes bartending, restaurant management, beverage program development, marketing consultation, and copy writing.
